“Por motivos que son de público conocimiento, a efectos de no afectar y preservar el partido político al cual pertenezco, esperando que la Justicia esclarezca los acontecimientos”, justifica Fresco su renuncia a ser incorporado a la Cámara en la carta que le envió al presidente del cuerpo, Julián Domínguez.
Fresco quedó envuelto en un escándalo cuando intentó interceder ante las autoridades de Migraciones que se disponían a deportar al cantante colombiano Mishelle Javier Quintero Landazuri, quien intentó ingresar al país con euros falsos. Fresco fue convocado al aeropuerto por Hugo Farid Zapata, otro colombiano radicado en Argentina, una suerte de representante local del cantante y “compadre” del ahora fallido diputado.
